Clayton Cartwright
Manager, Loss Control, PT, DPT, ASP, WCP®
“My experience in healthcare, as well as health and wellness, has helped me develop a valuable skillset to assess injuries, identify factors that led to those injuries, and provide solutions to mitigate injury risk and optimize performance for my clients. I will bring this experience and passion for injury prevention to MEMIC shareholders.”
Clayton joined MEMIC in 2020 as a Safety Management Consultant and brought 12 years of clinical experience from the world of physical therapy with him. Most of this experience occurred in the orthopedic outpatient setting where a portion of his patients were seen due to workplace injuries in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, hospitality and education. A strong foundation of ergonomics, body mechanics, and insight to mechanism of injury has contributed to his understanding and application of workplace injury prevention. Like a thumbprint, Clayton understands that every business has nuances, and he prioritizes collaboration with executive leadership on safety and prevention strategies that work best for an organization.
Clayton holds a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Athletic Training and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Since joining MEMIC, he has earned his Associate Safety Professional (ASP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCP) designation from AMCOMP.
