Each state has a different framework for medical treatment under the workers' compensation system. Your state may require you to go to your employer's choice of doctor.
Claim review
Generally you will hear from a MEMIC claim handler in 24 hours, gathering information about your injury. The number of days MEMIC has to review your claim is stipulated by state law, but many determinations about acceptance are made within a few days.
