(PORTLAND, Maine) – The MEMIC Group has promoted Jeannette Carr to Director of Claim Operations.

In this vital customer-facing role, Carr oversees key areas of the Claim Department’s workflow, system, and data needs, manages the operational support team to optimize new claim intakes, timely processes paper and electronic mail communications, and administers customer service phone calls and e-mails.

Carr is responsible for all Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and procedures as they relate to the Claim Department, and she also serves as the primary information system liaison with regard to all Claim Department-related systems, projects, and data delivery.

Prior to her promotion on Sept. 13, 2021, Carr had joined MEMIC as Manager of Claim Operations in 2017, arriving with 17 years of industry experience including multi-jurisdictional claim handling and claim management. She also has earned WCP designation and carries an array of licenses qualifying her to expertly and efficiently handle claims generated from MEMIC’s 20,000 policyholders in nine states.
