MEMIC Announces Promotion of Daniel Musser to Chief of Staff

Portland, Maine — The MEMIC Group, the third-largest multi-state workers’ compensation specialist in the United States, has promoted Daniel Musser to Chief of Staff, the first role of its kind at MEMIC. In his new position, Musser will help guide organizational structure and support initiatives during a period of continued growth and evolution.

Musser joined MEMIC in 2022 and has held several key positions including Financial Planning Analyst, Senior Financial Planning Analyst, and Manager of Financial Planning. Prior to joining MEMIC, he held financial analyst and accounting roles with Stanford Management in Portland, Maine.

“Daniel’s natural curiosity and understanding of risk and financial planning from his former role are invaluable to the MEMIC Group. Daniel’s transition into this new role as Chief of Staff has been seamless,” said Eileen Fongemie, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.

Musser holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Central Florida and has earned the Workers Compensation Professional (WCP®) designation.

“I am honored to work for a company that truly prioritizes the wellbeing of the people it serves, especially those in the beautiful state of Maine. As I step into the Chief of Staff role, I am excited to help create the structure and support needed for the changes ahead while further enabling the incredible MEMIC team around me,” said Musser.

Outside of work, Musser enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and hiking.
