MEMIC Implements New Claim System and Injury Reporting Portal to Better Support Our Dedicated Personal Approach to Claim Management

(Portland, ME)—MEMC has replaced its legacy claim system with Insurity’s ClaimsXPress solution to streamline claim processing, reinforce future growth strategies, and better support the Company’s service standards for employers and injured workers.

“MEMIC’s commitment to providing the best service in the insurance industry requires a continuous investment in people and technology that makes us better,” says MEMIC President and CEO Michael Bourque. “Once rooted only in our Maine-based headquarters, MEMIC now provides our workers’ comp specialty services across the country, and our ability to meet the needs of our policyholders and their employees is dependent on having the most advanced technology solutions in the industry.”

Recognized by industry experts as a leading workers’ compensation claim solution, ClaimsXPress’ powerful platform and intuitive design will provide MEMIC with more effective and efficient claims processing and includes many innovative features.

“ClaimsXPress will provide our team of claim specialists with the tools they need to effectively help injured workers to get back to work and back to life as it was before their accident,” says MEMIC Senior Vice President of Claims Matt Harmon. “We will also have a more dependable claims experience across the entire company as well as improved efficiencies, reduced costs, and an overall improved experience for our policyholders and business partners.”

MEMIC simultaneously launched a new online injury reporting portal to replace its online reporting form for faster, more accurate and secure injury reporting. The updated look, user-friendly design, and security enhancements provide policyholders with an overall improved experience and allows MEMIC’s claim specialists to have more time to help injured workers to get the care they need.
