“My mother was an open-heart ICU nurse and my father an electrician at a steel mill, which opened my eyes to the importance of safety. I grew up thinking about how workplace practices and injuries can affect someone at home, which developed into my pursuit of occupational health and safety as a profession. Being able to equip companies with knowledge and recommend actions to foster a safe workplace for all workers is my aspiration in life.”

Maverick has experience in the insurance loss control field and as a safety expert in manufacturing. He has worked with companies in a multitude of industries to help identify hazards and potential corrective actions, with experience in workplace inspections and training and development.

Maverick holds Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) and Associate Health and Safety Manager (ASHM) certifications and earned his Bachelor of Science in Safety Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a minor in Organizational Security.
