Allison has nearly 10 years of occupational health and safety experience, including working for a public university and for one of the largest utility companies in the United States. Allison’s technical skills and knowledge include electrical safety, fleet safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, hazardous building materials, manufacturing safety, and training. She is a Board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT), an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for General Industry, and a Certified Asbestos Inspector.
Allison is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Auburn University and holds two professional certificates from the Georgia Institute of Technology: The Safety and Health Management Certificate, as well as the Industrial Safety and Health Certificate. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Her range of experience and diverse education demonstrate her adaptability and desire to translate knowledge across industries.
Active in the profession, Allison is involved with the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and Women in Safety Excellence (WISE), where she serves as a volunteer leader on the WISE advisory committee. Allison believes building relationships, education, and curiosity are imperative components of workplace safety.
