PORTLAND, Maine – A MEMIC safety expert was named a top PR agency’s most popular podcast guest in 2020.

Peter Koch, host of the MEMIC Safety Experts Podcast, accepted a Golden Microphone Award from Marshall Communications during a live recording of The PR Maven® Podcast on Nov. 10, the second anniversary of the launch of MEMIC’S podcast.

Koch, manager of digital technology in the MEMIC Loss Control Department, was a guest on The PR Maven® Podcast Episode 113, which became the most popular episode in The PR Maven® Podcast’s third year.

Koch worked closely with Marshall Communications to launch MEMIC’s own Safety Experts Podcast in November 2019, based on MEMIC’S popular all-about-workplace-safety blog that started in 2008.

On his Safety Experts Podcast, Koch interviews industry leaders every two weeks to talk trends, tools, and techniques that are tried, tested, or emerging in the world of workplace safety, offering easy-to-digest safety advice and a new way to keep a safety program on track.

“We are always looking to spread our message of safety,” Koch said. “So we are grateful both for the Golden Microphone Award, which helped us leverage her fantastic platform to reach new people, and also for the help Marshall Communications provided to get our own Safety Experts Podcast off the ground.”

The Nov. 10 award ceremony, in which Marshall and Koch discuss their work together, will be released as a PR Maven® podcast Nov. 23. 

The PR Maven® Podcast has published 40 episodes featuring PR industry leaders, top executives, media personalities and online influencers.
