MEMIC Promotes Delcourt and Fendler to Underwriting Managers

PORTLAND, Maine, February 1, 2019 – Workers’ compensation specialist The MEMIC Group has announced the promotions of Ben Delcourt to Underwriting Manager and Shae-Li Fendler to Underwriting Analyst Manager to support the company’s continued growth. 

Delcourt manages the underwriting team which represents more than 60 percent of Maine’s employers. He joined MEMIC in 2012 as an Account Analyst and was promoted to Associate Underwriter in 2014, Underwriter in 2015, and Underwriting Supervisor in 2016. 

Delcourt graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also earned a Master of Science in Accounting from Kaplan University. Delcourt holds the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCP®). Active in the community, Delcourt is a member of the Portland Rotary Club and volunteers on the club’s community service committee. He resides in North Windham, ME. 

Fendler manages the company’s underwriting analysts who support MEMIC’s underwriters along the Eastern Seaboard from Maine to Florida. She joined MEMIC in 2013 as an Account Analyst and was promoted to Underwriting Analyst in 2014, Team Leader in 2015, and Underwriting Analyst Supervisor in 2016. 

Fendler is a graduate of Hofstra University in New York with a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business. She holds the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCP®). Fendler is involved in the Maine Insurance Agents Association (MIAA) Young Agents Committee and the Maine CPCU Society Chapter Membership Committee. She resides in Portland, ME.
