PORTLAND, Maine, September 21, 2016 – Workers' compensation specialist The MEMIC Group has announced the appointment of Richard Kordell as Safety Management Consultant. Kordell will join Loss Control Manager Scott Valorose in providing safety training services and advice to MEMIC’s growing customer base in Massachusetts.

With more than 30 years of loss control experience, Kordell has held Senior Loss Control positions at Acadia Insurance, AIG Consultants, Travelers Insurance Company and CIGNA Loss Control Services. Kordell graduated with a Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety Services from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a member and past President of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Worcester County Chapter.
