MEMIC Hires Heal, Promotes Flaherty and Wintle to Director
PORTLAND, ME, May 15, 2018 – To support continued growth, workers' compensation specialist The MEMIC Group has announced the appointment of Lara Heal to Director, Managed Care Services as well as the promotion of Karen Flaherty to Director, Financial Operations and Kristen Wintle to Director, Compensation and Benefits.
Heal has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry with 10 years as a Director, Case Management and Vocational Rehab Services at Unum. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Case Manager (CCM).
Flaherty first joined MEMIC in 1995 as a Financial Accountant and was promoted in 2015 from Senior Accountant to Manager of Financial Accounting Operations. She graduated from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She has earned her Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCP®) designation and is a member of the Finance and Investment Committee for the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds (AASCIF).
Wintle joined MEMIC in 1996 as a Human Resources Coordinator and became Payroll Administrator in 2002. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Business Administration and Minor in Sociology. She also has a certification in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern Maine.
