Lamson Promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
PORTLAND, Maine, October 12, 2009 – At its quarterly meeting in September, the MEMIC Board of Directors approved the promotion of Catherine F. Lamson to Senior Vice President for Human Resources and Administration, and Chief Administrative Officer for the MEMIC group.
Lamson has served as MEMIC’s Vice President for Human Resources and Administration since she was appointed to that position in 2004. She joined MEMIC in 2002 as Director of Human Resources and Administration after leading the HR function at the Nordx Laboratory, a division of MaineHealth, in Scarborough. Prior to that, she spent a decade in the banking industry in southern Maine.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New England, and has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation (SPHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute. Lamson is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Park Danforth, Town & Country Federal Credit Union, and the Maine Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She is a director and member of the Executive Committee of the Maine Health Management Coalition and the Maine Health Management Foundation Board. She is also a member of the Human Resources Committee of the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds (AASCIF) and the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC).
