PORTLAND, Maine, January 4, 2012 – The MEMIC Group has announced the appointment of Jeff Funk to the position of Assistant Vice President. 

Funk has played an integral and successful role in MEMIC’s expansion in southern New England and New York. In his new role, he will continue developing business in New England and throughout the mid-Atlantic region. This current growth phase also will include two new offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in 2012.

Funk joined MEMIC in 2006 as an Executive Underwriter and has 28 years of property casualty insurance experience in both the insurance company and independent agency business.

His technical background lies in commercial underwriting where he has held positions in underwriting and general management. He has also worked in the sales management and marketing areas of the independent agency industry.

Funk is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland.

He lives with his wife Debi and their four children in Manchester, NH.
