A Better, Safer Place to Work Campaign Airing
March 20, 2006 | Corporate
PORTLAND, Maine, March 20, 2006—In mid-March, MEMIC began airing a new media campaign to remind its customers and the general public about the benefits of the company’s efforts in workers’ compensation. The campaign is titled “A Better, Safer Place to Work.” The first 30-second television commercial describes dramatic reductions in workplace injuries, which MEMIC has championed since its inception 1993. Since that time, Maine has seen its lost-time injury rates fall by more than 30 percent. That reduction and the coinciding decrease in workers’ compensation premium rates have helped lead to growth in the Maine economy. Today, there are 100,000 more jobs in the Maine economy than in 1992.
