The MEMIC Group Names Heather Gagnon as Vice President of Finance and Assistant Treasurer
Portland, ME – The MEMIC Group, the third-largest multi-state workers’ compensation specialist in the United States, welcomes Heather Gagnon as Vice President, Finance & Assistant Treasurer. In this newly established role, Gagnon will oversee financial accounting and reporting, financial operations, and financial planning for The MEMIC Group.
Gagnon brings more than 21 years of experience in insurance, financial reporting, and risk management. She began her career at Crowe LLP, a public accounting and consulting firm, advancing from Audit Staff to Senior Manager and later serving as a Consulting Managing Director.

Gagnon holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She has been recognized as a Top 25 Insurance Consultant from 2023 to 2025 and was honored with the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) National Volunteer of the Year Award in 2026. She also served as committee chair for the IASA, reflecting her commitment to industry leadership and collaboration.
