    Randy Klatt

“I learned at an early age the tragic consequences of unsafe behavior—as a 20-year-old paramedic responding to calls for help, I quickly realized that human failure is behind the majority of injuries. Too often people rely on luck and are quick to say, “It was just an accident.” As a safety professional I know there are no accidents, only predictable outcomes. When an individual or organization adopts this principle, unsafe behaviors decrease, hazard assessment improves, and injuries are reduced. No one wants to be hurt, but many do not understand how preventable injuries really are.”

“An organization must foster a culture that does not accept injuries as inevitable. Support from top management all the way down to the newest employee is required. All phases of business, from human resources policies to production quotas to workplace conditions, must be managed with hazard prevention and safe behaviors as the paramount consideration. This will lead to increased productivity, improved morale, and reduced costs.”

Randy has over 30 years of experience working in industries where safety is critical to success.
