Chris has a wide range of health and safety experience. He began his career as an environmental specialist at an urban university hospital. Chris then transitioned to a health and safety specialist position for a state university, and from there moved into industry and was a safety engineer for a large defense contractor. Most recently, Chris was a Property and Casualty Risk Engineer for a multi-line insurance carrier.
Throughout his career, Chris has been responsible for a variety of health and safety programs. He has extensive knowledge in regards to radiation safety, confined space, LOTO, and emergency response. He also has experience with Industrial Hygiene programs such as; hearing conservation, ergonomics, and indoor air quality.
Chris has a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from Rutgers University. He also has a master’s degree in environmental and occupational health and safety from the School of Public Health of UMDNJ, now a school of Rutgers University.
